Question: What should I bring to Yani’s courses & workshops?

Yani’s activities are full of fun and energy. Sessions always start with a warm up that involves some physical movement. Wearing comfortable clothing and shoes helps this as well as your singing voice. Tight fitting clothes are a no-no!. Remember to always bring a bottle of water. A note pad is not essential (but you can bring one if you want), however Yani’s teaching style helps you retain what you learn in memory without needing to take notes.

Question: How do I join Yani’s choirs

The prerequisite for joining one of Yani’s choirs is a ten week preparatory program called Tune UP. It covers all the FUNdamentals of singing in a supportive group environment so basically you get the experience of singing in a group/choir crossed with some of the cheapest singing lessons you will ever get. At the end there is a gentle assessment to see if you are ready for the choir environment and if so you can move into the choirs. If not, you are welcome to repeat Tune UP at a discounted rate to keep working on your voice and having a weekly singing experience.

If you have a lot of choir singing experience Yani may offer you the option to audition. You can request this option by using the contact form on the site to send her some details of your singing experience.
